The Enterprise Based Productivity Places Program (EBPPP) provides opportunities for employees in participating enterprises to increase their skill levels and gain further qualifications.
Communications & Information Technology Training (CITT), through its industry experience, has engaged with telecommunications stakeholders to determine the industry training needs for the next few years. This feedback has identified that there are not enough qualified trainers to meet future training needs.
Through the National Workforce Development Fund (the Fund) the Australian Government will provide $558 million over four years to industry to support training and workforce development in areas of current and future skills need.
Under the Fund, enterprises can identify their current and future business and workforce development needs and apply for funding to support the training of existing workers and new workers in the area of need.
This project aims to promote Telecommunications training, VET qualifications and Apprenticeship options and provide employees, school leavers and unemployed the opportunity to obtain qualifications, from Certificate III to Certificate IV level. The qualifications will be delivered from the nationally endorsed ICT10 training package.
As part of the ICT10 Integrated Telecommunication's Training Package continuous improvement program, IBSA and CITT are offering an opportunity to RTO's and enterprises to evaluate the recommendations for changes to the training package.
CITT are currently creating Industry Guides for the Telecommunications and Information Technology industries to answer the many questions raised regarding career opportunities, training pathways and and use of the ICT10 and ICA 11 training packages.
