NWDF

Through the National Workforce Development Fund (the Fund) the Australian Government will provide $558 million over four years to industry to support training and workforce development in areas of current and future skills need.

Under the Fund, enterprises can identify their current and future business and workforce development needs and apply for funding to support the training of existing workers and new workers in the area of need.

The Fund is part of the Australian Government’s Building Australia’s Future Workforce package.

Organisations eligible to participate in the program include enterprises, professional associations and industry bodies. Professional associations and industry bodies may submit an application to coordinate on behalf of smaller enterprises seeking to participate in the program.

Qualifications eligible for funding are those that map to occupations listed on the Priority Occupation List (POL), which can be found on the DEEWR website at www.deewr.gov.au/nwdf .  The POL is a national priority list of occupations in demand.  The list contains many job roles from the ICT and IT industry.

To support the claims for NWDF funding for these industries CITT is conducting an industry survey to gather information regarding the current skills and training requirements of the ICT and IT industries.

To assist with this could we please ask you to complete the CITT survey on the below link

The information from this survey will provide valuable information required to illustrate the labour and skills needs in the IT and ICT industries and work toward addressing the needs with appropriate training.
